CHX started life in the mountains where every programme was delivered immersively in an extraordinary environment. But it became clear to us very quickly that our work needed to be done within the environment of work, tackling head on all the issues that people and businesses face on a daily basis. After all, our daily lives are typically not lived out in extraordinary environments, and our environments largely determine our mental health!

The expertise that has gone into building the CHX programme content is second to none. It starts with a uniquely strong foundation of cutting edge science, curated and delivered by frontline, world-leading academic researchers in the fields of Cognition & Neuroscience, Psychology, cognitive anthropology and evolutionary biology.
The science that underpins all CHX programmes is irrefutably robust. The reason we chose this path to meet our clients needs, is because it means that time and time again we are able to win over even the most cynical and entrenched of leadership and management.
Our scientific team is led by Professor Chris Beedie, CHX Co-founder and head of scientific advisory. He is also Affiliate Professor University of Oxford, Honorary Professor University of Kent.
"I spent 25 years leading scientific research in order to improve our knowledge of how brains and bodies interact. Working with CHX gives me the opportunity to apply that science to improving real lives in the real world.”

It’s not enough to have led businesses, we must live the CHX values of Live, Learn, challenge and Give. We must challenge and support clients at personal, collective and organisational levels and have an intense curiosity to develop our own knowledge - trust us we need it when trying to keep up with the science!
All CHX programme directors and facilitators are business leaders. Here’s a sample of who a client might work with:
Jonathan was Managing Director of Carphone Warehouse and then a Head Teacher turning around underperforming primary schools in the
state sector.
“Creating an environment in which people can learn and develop is hugely
rewarding. That is what I love about my work now, helping people learn about themselves, and that is good for them, their family, colleagues and me.”
Jonathan, Director of Learning
Karen has outperformed in roles including Managing Director, HR Director and is most at home as Talent Director as a strategic consultant, but even more at home as a coach.
“CHX programmes open up a muchneeded narrative and allow an organisation to redefine how they think about and work with their people. Leaders start to understand their emotional impact and teams become able to challenge each other with respect and authenticity, having a profound and positive effect on an organisation’s goals. That is hugely uplifting, both for clients and me! “

Eva worked in M&A for Rothschild and Bankers Trust before building a career in coaching and advising as a leadership consultant specialising in individual and team effectiveness. Eva loves to develop others and learn herself.
“It’s been so exciting learning from leading scientists about why we have the feelings we do and how we can help ourselves towards sustained good mental health. What CHX does pulls together several decades of personal and professional development for me as a coach and leadership consultant.”
