OVERVIEW

Scientist of Yourself® leadership programmes are highly developmental, starting with self-awareness and self-management. In essence, enabling them to be purposeful, inclusive, fair, authentic and empathic, when being this type of leader might otherwise be beyond them a lot of the time.
CHX programmes focus on two core strands: sustainable high performance and leading by how you make others feel. All programmes are tailored to leverage existing leadership development initiatives, or to stand alone. They are fully blended with online learning, peer to peer mentoring and facilitated workshops. They can be live, in person, fully virtual or a blend and are typically delivered in cohorts of 8 - 20 over a period of 1 - 6 months.

WHO WOULD BENEFIT?

  • Tiers of leadership who need greater agency over health, stress, engagement and performance.
  • A new leadership team in need of accelerating such things as bondedness, trust and clarity.
  • Leadership teams/strata where there is high risk of burnout.
  • Leaders preparing to be at their best for a significant transformation programme or period of sustained added pressure.
  • Organisations where employee engagement is being reported as under pressure (surveys, attrition etc)

CHX PERFORMANCE SCIENTIST OF YOURSELF® COACHING FOR LEADERS

The ICF accredited Scientist of Yourself® coaching supports those for whom the challenges faced are making things feel out of balance or even overwhelming. McKinsey’s 2021 report indicates that between 38% - 49% of senior leaders feel burned out and tackling this challenge requires specific focus by the individual on themselves as a prerequisite to being able to look outwards at their people.

OVERVIEW

Scientist of Yourself® coaching typically delivers the greatest impact over five or six sessions. The coachee will develop awareness of their capacity to lead and in doing so develop understanding and management of their mood and emotion. The sessions employ the 4R Model (1) as the central framework and are supported with online, modular learning where appropriate, with each client receiving a tailored programme to gain insights, strategies and practical tools to manage their capacity for leadership and performance.

WHO WOULD BENEFIT?

  • Here are some client profiles who have benefitted from a Scientist of Yourself® coaching intervention.
  • Executives who have been subject to relentless high pressure for a prolonged period.
  • The executive who is emotionally taxed from delivering significant change with high human impact.
  • Newly placed leader, to develop strategies to sustain performance at a time of intense cognitive load.
  • A leader feeling the impact of a significant change in their biology - such as menopause.
  • Committed leaders who consistently go beyond their responsibilities and pay no attention to themselves.
  • Leaders who regularly travel across time zones.

OUR APPROACH

CHX are experts in the biology of business, and starting with our universal biological needs as human beings, are able to empower individuals and groups to apply learning and discussion in the context of their differentiated needs.
Scientist of Yourself® programmes provide World-leading content, applied through highly interactive people-centric frameworks that deliver meaningful change into the heart of the organisation.

CHX Scientist Of Yourself

OUR TOOLS

Participants spend some time working alone in the bespoke, on-demand, virtual learning environment but their colleagues are the magic ingredient - the commitment device. Working together with the proprietary diagnostic MoJo app and other Scientist of Yourself® frameworks, each participant can share real time graphical mood data, developing mastery of how they are doing and what their potential is to sustain or improve how they are doing. This gives leaders granular detail on their performance, likely impact on their teams and their ability to make unbiased decisions.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE

McKinsey reported in 2021 that the loss of productivity as a result of anxiety and depression, two common mental health disorders that stem from dysfunctional mood and emotion, costs the global economy $1 trillion each year. Central to CHX programmes is that mood and emotion data and what it is telling us, are perhaps the most important yet most ignored performance development opportunity available to us.

In viewing ‘mental health’ as ‘ill health’ and thus a problem to be managed, we miss the chance to prevent poor mental health and the opportunity to explore the aspiration of good mental health as the foundation for sustainable high performance. Because of this, the ‘withdrawal - disengage - depart/burnout’ cycle is challenging business like never before.
